Sue Laing - Managing Director, the risk store

Sue is well known to many of you as the face of the risk store. Sue has 35 years experience working on all sides of the life risk insurance industry. She started 'life' as a reinsurance underwriter and has since worked as a product developer, state and national sales manager, researcher, dealer principal, trainer, technical writer and specialist life risk industry consultant. She has a passion for helping you improve the job you do and the business you run.

Chris Unwin

Chris graduated from Oxford University with a law degree in 1977 - and by 1978 he was working as a commission only life insurance broker in the City of London! After coming to Australia in 1989, Chris has spent the majority of his time (when he's not advising his own clients!) training financial advisers across the industry on the advisory process and more specifically on how to incorporate protection most effectively in a financial plan. Chris delivers his subject matter with a rare level of energy and passion, which he looks forward to sharing with you at one of his workshops.

Mark Westcott

Mark has been working with clients for years on the true 'future planning' concept, of which the life risk solutions are just a part. Just as he takes a holistic view of the clients' circumstances, he has also taken a holistic view of his own practice and how he 'deals' with clients and referral alliances. His tips and practical how-to's are translatable immediately into any advice-based business and are guaranteed to improve and increase results. Educated at a top private school on the Gold Coast and with a Bachelor of Economics from James Cook University, Mark climbed quickly to the top in his profession of financial services. He is a life member of the "Million Dollar Round Table" which recognises the top 3% of his industry worldwide. Several times he has attended the "Top of the Table", occupied by only the top 0.2% in the world.

Brant Dillon

Brant's success as a specialist life risk adviser with many SME and professional clients didn't happen overnight. So he knows what the challenges are in gaining the right knowledge, developing 'systems' for a dvice delivery and refining presentation tools and skills.

Brant is the founder and Managing Director of real consulting and has nearly 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Brant is recognised within the industry for his expertise in this field and is a regular speaker at conferences and professional development days. Brant has completed a master’s degree in financial planning and holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner.

"Great presentation. Great selling tips/phrases/ideas. Very worthwhile overall"

"If you want to do risk properly, you need to hear what Chris & Sue have to say"

"I learnt more today about Risk Sales and Service than 5 years of working in an adviser office! I honestly feel I can be extremely successful selling risk alone by being exposed to such experts as Chris and Sue. When's the next course?"
