THE PROGRAMME

What a brilliant plenary! The engineering and design concepts behind the plenary rooms at MCEC are worth coming to see alone! But of course you will have the added benefit of the expertise of our line-up of great speakers. True to our commitment to bring quality and practicality to this life risk dedicated event - for your benefit - we have no politicians, insurer staff or 'motivational' presenters speaking at this event. There are plenty of other events that offer these, in spades.

We choose technical experts in various related fields to impart their intimate knowledge on topics that you have chosen and requested in previous feedback and throughout the year in your communications with the risk store. So read on for what you will hear and see in 2010.

A mix of plenary, panel and interactive breakout workshop sessions will offer you a valuable range of knowledge and tools to help you "refine your craft". The topics include:

  • Business succession planning with SMEs
  • Claims case studies & claims management
  • Medical session on obesity and its ramifications
  • How the fee model can work for life risk advising
  • Life risk insurances in SMSFs
  • Quality SoA's
  • Replacement Policy Advice
  • Excellence in file-noting
  • Personal, home and child care costs - what are they?
  • TPD & psychiatric illnesses
  • The emerging trend of Evidence-Based Underwriting
  • A young MS case study and the lessons we can learn from it
Speakers will include:
  • Peter Bobbin, The Argyle Partnership. One of our industry's most respected legal experts.
  • Dr Paul Davis, CMO of RGA and the most entertaining medico you will ever hear!
  • Michael Jackson, CEO of PPS and Chairman of LIMRA SA, from South Africa
  • Danielle Robertson, CEO of Dial-an-Angel
  • Tony Negline, industry superannuation guru
  • Steve Murray of Catalyst Compliance
  • Three of your adviser colleagues, with their claims case studies (separate sessions)
  • Rob Winch, passionate life risk adviser and file-noter extraordinaire!
  • Dr Nick Glozier, psychiatrist and Assoc. Prof. University of Sydney
  • Mark Westcott, practising adviser & entrepreneur
  • Sue Laing from the risk store
  • Connie Pullella and Eve, practising adviser & her live claim case study!
