‘Refining Your Craft’ - The Risk Store 2010 Annual Life Risk Forum
We believe that with the value of advice being high in the minds of advisers reviewing and refining their business proposition, it’s time to reflect on what being a good planner represents.
To call advice-giving a craft seems to us to give proper credence to the wide range of skills and knowledge required to envision, design and deliver a great outcome for a client every time...just like a quality craftsman who fulfils customised client commissions. And to do so demands all of the following:
• the basic, core knowledge of the craft
•
the skills that support the delivery of the end 'masterpiece'
• a drive to learn better and new skills to produce more stunning and wide-ranging results
• a desire to fit the outcome as precisely to a client’s brief as possible
• and the willingness to stand behind the ‘product’ after the delivery.
It’s as important to refine the delivery of advice within the context of a client/adviser relationship, as it is for a master cabinetmaker to deliver exactly the crafted piece of furniture that his client has asked for – one that will fulfil all the needs the client has identified for it.
This theme has been chosen to reflect content that will add to existing skills and knowledge and assist with moving business success, practice excellence and client satisfaction to new heights. As such it will have relevance to all levels of experience and to all business models.
Melbourne, with its architectural, culinary, oenological, horticultural, stone and ironwork, fashion and other 'crafts' so strongly represented, provides a perfect backdrop to this theme.
Whether life risk is your sole focus or a key part of your financial planning – you will grow from this practical forum.
Refining the craft of life risk advising is what our 2010 forum is all about.
The risk store is proud and excited to host this event, which has become known as an annual 'must-do', offering stimulating and business-building value for all advisers doing life risk, throughout the industry.
The programme structure and our unique 'pod' concept in the expo area (the sponsor partners' "piazza") guarantees
great networking opportunities, too.
With direct access from Tullamarine airport to the Hilton and MCEC precinct, this destination will be a straightforward journey for our interstate delegates. And for a majority of our Victorian delegates, MCEC will be a pleasant and easy drive with inexpensive parking for the duration...or why not spoil yourself and stay overnight at the beautiful Hilton anyway?
Welcome to The Risk Store
2010
Annual Life Risk Forum – we look forward to sharing our wonderful programme and event with you.
